Featured FITgirl step class winner: Ashley

Hello, and welcome to ScrapFIT!

Ashley won the step class ombre challenge (pictured on the right of our blog) for some amazing ombre work on her title.

Let's get to know our new featured FITgirl a little bit better.

Here is what Ashley had to say:

Have you always been crafty/artistic/creative? 

 I have always had a love for crafty things.  From my 7th Grade year, until I graduated from High School, I took Art as an elective every year.  It was actually my favorite class.  At that time I enjoyed drawing, but when I discovered Scrapbooking in 2006, I knew that it was definitely my crafty niche.

What are the top three items you can’t craft/scrap without? 

 My Laptop, Patterned Paper, and my Cricut Expression

Are you a social scrapper/crafter or do you prefer to scrap alone?  Why? 

 I am actually both.  I enjoy scrapping alone, because it is when I get the most done.  But, I also enjoy getting together with friends at our monthly crop.  I don't get as much done then, but I love getting to visit with friends and we all share our supplies and ideas.

What are your scrapbook/craft goals? (Do you want to be on a design team, etc.)

  I have really been blessed in meeting a lot of my Scrapbooking goals, as recently as this year.  I am serving on several Design Teams and have been published in Creating Keepsakes magazine and other online magazines.  So I guess, the one goal I haven't acheived yet, would be to design for a Manufacturer or Kit Club.

What’s your favorite tip or tool you could share with other scrappers or crafters? 

 My #1 tip would have to be...make sure you stay focused on having fun in your Scrapbooking or crafting.  There are no rules and your pages are your own, so design and execute them in a way that makes you feel comfortable and happy about your work.
